Project work encourages the natural curiosity of children and gives them an active role in learning. Children learn there are many different ways to answer a question and that trial and error can lead to exciting new discoveries. Inquiry based projects can last for as long as the children are showing interest in the topic.
The project can be viewed and explored through many aspects of the environment such as art, dance and movement, math, reading and dramatic play. This allows children to use all their languages to investigate and discover an area of personal interest.
At Wunderkind we promote raising children as creative thinkers and self-motivated explorers. Introducing children to project work early on helps them connect playing, exploring, and learning. It encourages thinking and builds self confidence.
