Mrs. Rachel is phenomenal at multitasking and tailors each child's daily routine to help them master self-movement, hold objects, and develop hand-to-mouth coordination. She encourages them in ways that promote meeting developmental milestones. She is married with four children.
Mrs. Chris is a mother of two grown children and has many years of experience in childcare. She ran her own in-home daycare before she moved here from New York. She absolutely loves working with little ones.
Miss Alyvia is currently a Lander Student studying Biological Sciences. In high school, she took a teacher cadette class which led her join Wunderkind. She helps in all of the classrooms, but her focus is with the infant and toddlers. Alyvia loves trying new ways to engage the attention of this age group!
Mrs. Anna has been in early childhood education for over 15 years. Her goal as a teacher is to facilitate children's development in all areas by providing creative and fun, enriching activities everyday. She loves experiencing and participating in the wonder our children have for the world around them.
Miss Hannah is an assistant in our 2K & 3K rooms. She loves dancing and singing with the children. She is very creative and brightens everyone's day. Hannah also enjoys creating artwork and babysitting!
Miss Shania is a graduate of Piedmot Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She completed clinicals here at Wunderkind before joining our team full time. She loves being able to watch the children grow both physically and mentally and enjoys cuddling and loving on them daily.
Ms. Dawn relocated to SC to be closer to her family here. She is an experienced educator who genuinely cares for all her students. Dawn brings knowledge, compassion and devotion to her classroom.
Wunderkind Preschool Academy is a unique new preschool in Greenwood, SC, serving children ages 2-5, with a focus on natural child development in a Reggio Emilia inspired environment.

The responsibilities of our Lead Teacher position include, but are not limited to, supervising the safety of all children assigned to their care, researching, facilitating, and co-constructing alongside our children, developing emergent curriculum in response to the collaborative needs and interests of the class, documenting and communicating children’s progress, and displaying children’s ongoing project work throughout the school. All teachers must maintain required credentials for the position such as professional development hours. Lead Teachers will work collaboratively with other teachers to plan and coordinate curriculum and ensure a consistent flow throughout the day.
Requirements of Qualified Candidates:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Undergraduate degree from a state approved college or university in early childhood, child development, elementary education, or a related field with 60 days field experience
OR
· High School diploma or equivalent and six months of prior teaching experience in a state licensed childcare facility.
· Successful state background check and health assessments
· Flexible and strong work ethic a must
· Neat, clean, professional appearance
· Ability to manage the demands of children ages 2 to 5 years old
· Spoken and written English fluency (Spanish fluency a plus)
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· CPR / First Aid Certifications
· Enrollment in / completion of ECE coursework
· Experience with Reggio Emilia Approach
· Knowledge and understanding of current state and local regulations
